DCPro™ Background

DCPro uses full digital control of the DC rail voltage to provide most of the advantages of DCC's fine motor control including inertia, acceleration curves and smooth slow-running.

DCPro's advanced block-control and Radio Frequency ID (RFID) of each locomotive allow all of these characteristics to be loco-specific just like DCC. RFID tags require no battery or wiring - just a small glass or plastic tag attached to the bottom of or inside a loco.

Clearly DCPro is not for everybody. DCC is a good choice if prototypical running is required and there are plenty of friends or club members prepared to run the layout.

Who would want DCPro?

• Individuals who want to run a layout by themselves with lots of action happening around them
• Clubs with a need to exhibit or display a model railway with lots of interest for visitors and wanting to do so with a minimum number of volunteers
• Clubs with many members who cannot or do not wish to move to DCC

DCPro makes automation as simple as plug-and-play - connect up to 256 DCPro modules together to enable almost any sized model railway to run dozens of trains simultaneously without needing human intervention and with very little wiring!
